I forgive you It might seem small, it might seem simple. But it holds so much power beneath the surface of that simple word. I have forgiven you, not because I have forgotten all the pain inflicted on me, but because I choose to find my own peace. The peace of forgiving my past self that letting you trample over me. These past experiences made me realise that the lack of guilt in a person might indicate that the person also lacks empathy. Trying to understand you was never easy, but it wasn't exactly exhausting either. However, when you said that understanding someone is tiring, it really reflected how incapable you are as a human being to feel and process emotions. I had hoped you could be my imam, to embody the person you told me you were at the beginning. Well, I really hope you found your peace. Or already find it. That would make me happy as well.
